Dr. Taesu Kim [김태수] and Hee-soo Kim [김희수] recently presented their latest research at the 15th Asia Lighting Conference. Taesu is a post-doctoral researcher, and Heesoo is a master student of Color Lab. Their study, titled “Aesthetic Satisfaction in Product Design through Lighting Color Combinations,” examines how the use of lighting color combinations in home appliances can enhance consumers’ aesthetic satisfaction.
This research addresses a gap in previous studies, which have largely focused on lighting’s functional role in illuminating spaces, rather than its aesthetic impact. As lighting becomes an increasingly important design element, their findings offer valuable insights into how effective color design strategies can elevate the aesthetic appeal of products.
