Yuchun, the Ph.D. candidate of Color lab has published a research article, entitled “Measuring and describing the discoloration of the liquid foundation”, in Color Research & Application (doi.org/10.1002/col.22584). The article reports the phenomena of discoloration of liquid foundation spread over time through repeated measures along 24 hours. Indeed the discoloration occurred and in particular, all foundations became darker. The article not only addresses the darkening trend but also proposes new indices to describe the discoloration considering proper communication between the cosmetic companies and consumers. In the experiments, Miss Juhyun Lee, a senior researcher from the Cosmax BTI has collaborated. Currently, the article is accessible free of charge.
