Juhee’s survey result about optimal matches between light and fabric colors is now in Color Research & Application. Entitled, “Affective matches of fabric and lighting chromaticity“, the study includes two main experiments. One is about the effect of lighting hue on the surface styles of fabric. The other one is concerned with a wider spectrum by including a set of colorful fabric patches. For the assessment, a tunable LED lightbox was facilitated to generate the target lightings. Based on the evidence, lighting can be properly planned and installed depending on the type as well as the color characteristics of the fabrics.
