During the winter break, three undergraduate students joined the color lab as internship students. Each participated in different projects and research activities. Color lab appreciates their efforts and achievements, hoping to work together on the next opportunity. The individual interviews were made and summarized in the following:
“I explored the emotional response to kinetic in-car lighting and then examined human’s pupil sizes responding to images. I learned how to approach in design research and handle the empirical data. Overall, I totally enjoyed intern life with professor and graduate students.” -Yeongwoo Kim (senior at id KAIST):
“I should say I had a great experience. I participated in several research projects including AR glass usability test and poster design analysis. Now I have a better understanding of how to design, carry out experiments, and perform research, not only as a designer but also as a researcher. Thankfully, I learned really a lot. This opportunity gave me a variety of design insights that I would not have easily experienced as an undergraduate student.” – Heejae Bae (junior at id KAIST)
“I conveyed an experiment to explore the appropriate luminance while people are watching a television display in the dark. Also, I carried out an experiment about people’s perceptions associated with the color terms. I learned quite a lot from this two-month internship, and I wish to become a member of the color lab as a graduate student in the near future”. – Byeongjin Kim(junior from EECS GIST)
