Nooree Na, a Ph.D. candidate of Color Lab published an article entitled, “Preference survey of curvature of large-size displays,” in the Journal of the Society for Information Display. The study investigated the most preferred radius of curvature for large-size curved displays that supports consumer satisfaction in terms of aesthetic appeal and visual comfort. The experimental results showed that the most preferred radius of curvature varies depending on the display size, and it increases as the display size becomes larger. For 55-inch displays, the most preferred radius of curvature was found as 2000 mm, whereas the 65- and 75-inch displays, the subjects’ preference was increased to 3000 mm that lightly varied depending on the presented contents.
