Research proposal by Eunjin Kim and Hyunjoo Bae was selected for New media and ICT convergence research proposal competition. This competition was organized to encourage KAIST members to dig out novel and practical ICT convergence research topics. Color lab will get a research grant from KAIST Institute. A platform named AICI (Aesthetic Interaction between Color and Image) was suggested which automatically generate visual contents based on affective colors. This study is planning to construct a quantitative model for aesthetic and affective attributes derived from visual contents and color. Moreover, an interactive color system will be developed based on visual contents and desired emotion of users, and this system will be applied to AICI platform. Successful research outcome would be expected from now on.
